About the Bao Lab
Fudan University (复旦大学) · Shanghai, China

The Bao Lab at Fudan University (复旦大学) is led by Feng Bao (鲍峰), PI at the College for Future Information Technology (未来信息创新学院). We develop general statistical learning and AI approaches with applications in biological and medical studies and drug screening. Our mission is to understand complex systems and leverage computational methods to answer fundamental biological questions and improve medical research.

We sit at the intersection of machine learning, statistics, and biology — designing methods that extract meaningful signal from high-dimensional, heterogeneous, multi-modal data. Core themes include self-supervised representation learning, multi-modal information fusion, causal inference in complex biological systems, and deep generative models for spatial omics.
